Originally the property was purchased with the intent to simply build a few houses but as the idea grew, it became evident that the area needed to be shared with like minded people.  By sharing the area with others it would become an additional propellant to an already thriving tourist area, and still retain the quality of life envisioned by people who love living by the water.

There are  spectacular views along the Pacific Coast of Ecuador, however, Playa Pacifica is not a remote location.  It is less than 3 miles to a major tourist town (Bahía de Carraquez), a hospital, and a regional shopping center (El Paseo). It already has water, electricity, fiber optic internet and a new paved road leading to the project. Playa Pacifica is no longer simply a beautiful dream, it's a reality in the process of being constructed.

The ideas of a few gringos, several energetic Ecuadorians, a forward looking local government, and nature itself has brought Playa Pacifica into fruition.
